Operational Security Engineer (m/f/d)

As an Operational Security Engineer, you actively shape the security level of a globally operating technology company. The focus is on practical operation, not theory. In addition to classic office environments, manufacturing and engineering landscapes shape everyday life. Colleagues from different time zones are part of your daily contacts. Scope for design is not a promise here, but part of the task.
Responsibilities:
You coordinate security measures across several international IT operations teams
The operation of the information security management system (ISMS) including policies and controls is in your hands
You investigate security incidents, prioritise vulnerabilities and accompany their remediation until completion
In addition, you further develop solutions for Endpoint Security, Identity Security, email protection as well as logging and monitoring
Furthermore, you monitor operational processes such as patch management, MFA, hardening and permission assignment
You also raise employee awareness via an awareness platform with campaigns and phishing simulations
Qualifications:
Your foundation is a training or degree with an IT-related focus
You bring several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, system operation or information security
Experience in areas such as Identity and Access Management, Microsoft 365 (M365), network security or monitoring is helpful
Frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Controls are at least familiar to you in outline
Security topics around production and OT interfaces spark your interest
In addition, you convince through independent action, business fluent German, solid English and openness to occasional foreign assignments
