Your Responsibilities
Process Analytics (MTPRO) is a division within the METTLER TOLEDO Group and a leading provider of field instruments for the analysis of liquids and gases in the process industry. At our headquarters in Urdorf, we develop and produce high-quality sensors for controlling production processes, which we sell worldwide through our own market organisations.
Within MTPRO, "PO Ingold" develops and produces sensors for process analytics and control in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, biotechnology, and the food industry. The portfolio includes, among others, pH, dissolved oxygen, dissolved CO2, conductivity, and turbidity.
Our R&D department consists of four teams, each with a specific technology focus. The position advertised here is part of the Electrochemical Sensor Development Team, which is involved in developing new sensors and sensor technologies for biotechnology, chemical, and food applications, as well as maintaining the existing product portfolio. for development projects in the field of our electrochemical sensors. In addition to participating in verification tests and sensor development, the role also includes supporting the creation and uploading of safety data sheets.
In this role, you will undertake the following tasks:
- Planning and conducting verification tests for product developments in the field of pH and O? measurement technology
- Designing test setups, conducting test series, and evaluating results
- Supporting the creation and updating of safety data sheets for our calibration buffers in collaboration with external suppliers
- Organising and uploading safety data sheets to our customer portal
- Supporting the procurement and re-calibration of our measuring instruments in the R&D laboratory
- Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician or a degree from a university of applied sciences in chemistry
- Analytical and structured thinking, as well as enjoyment of precise work
- Experience in sensor, medical, automotive, or adhesive technology is an advantage
- High self-motivation and enjoyment of responsibility in a dynamic, competitive environment
- Pragmatic and straightforward approach to interdisciplinary teams and active contribution to team performance
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form (mandatory) and good English skills (advantageous).
