Social Services
As an entry into the professional world and to support the team, we are looking for a motivated individual from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement for 7 months with the option to extend to 12 months.
Tasks
- You will process and review cases and submit criminal complaints according to the Criminal Code and internally defined processes.
- You will support the team with investigations and legal advice in the areas of social assistance, general administrative and criminal law.
- You will be the contact person in collaboration with the public prosecutor's office, the police, etc.
- You will take on demanding case management tasks.
Profile
- Completed law degree (at least Bachelor level)
- Interest in criminal and administrative law
- Initial work experience in commercial or legal fields
- Structured, careful, committed and well-organised approach and working style
- Very good oral and written expression in internal and external communication as well as in drafting legal texts
We offer
A varied and meaningful activity in an interdisciplinary team of 10 employees with high expertise. It is possible to count 3 months of the internship towards admission to the Zurich bar exam if you hold a master’s degree.

The In-depth Investigations team is one of six teams of the Central Services. The Central Services provide leadership support and services for the management and employees of the Social Services of the City of Zurich. The In-depth Investigations team supports the case-leading social workers in preventing unlawful benefit claims in economic social assistance and in preparing criminal complaints.
