The Educational Center for Hearing and Speech Münchenbuchsee HSM promotes, challenges, and supports children and adolescents from 0 to 20 years with speech, speaking, voice, perception, and hearing impairments with regard to integration into regular school or initial vocational training.
From summer 2026, the HSM will expand the existing speech therapy offer in the Thun region at the Heimberg location with a partial integration class: Selected students attend the regular kindergarten or the 1st or 2nd grade in the bVSA int. and additionally receive targeted speech support near their place of residence at a regional location (regular school). The position is limited until July 31, 2029, with the option of extension.

Tasks
- 10-12 lessons of intensive speech support in the group (approx. 5–10 students), depending on group size in team teaching with another specialist (SHP) or teacher or with support from a classroom assistant
- Speech support for students with speech and speaking disorders in the group, possibly using speech therapy methods. Promotion of language comprehension, vocabulary as well as literacy acquisition and its precursor skills
- Structured, manageable collaboration with regular schools and the parents of the respective students

- Completed training in speech therapy
- Enjoyment of the challenges of everyday school life
- Enjoyment in trying out and further developing new things
- Independence, resilience, and positive communication skills
- Willingness to work interdisciplinarily
