Senior System Engineer Microsoft / Citrix (80-100%)

You bring several years of experience as a System Engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments and want to do more than just operate systems. You take on technical responsibility, think about architecture holistically, and rely on clean standards as well as reproducible automation. High service quality and customer satisfaction are our central measures.

In our Smart Workplace team, you are responsible for the operation and further development of our Microsoft on-premises platform as well as our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment. You lead technical projects from conception to regular operation, analyse complex faults at 2nd and 3rd level, and advance topics sustainably together with Network and Security. In doing so, you actively shape standards, drive automation and standardisation forward, and share your knowledge within the team. As a technical key figure in the IT Services area, you advance topics thoroughly and with a focus on quality.

What to expect

• Design, implementation and further development of demanding Microsoft on-premises solutions
• Operation, further development and lifecycle management of our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops platform including ADC
• Leading technical projects in the specialist area, from migration through modernisation to going live
• Root cause analysis and sustainable resolution of complex faults at 2nd and 3rd level
• Driving automation and standardisation with PowerShell and configuration management
• Definition and documentation of standards, solutions and operational processes
• On-call duty
• Close collaboration with Network, Security and the Smart Workplace team

What we expect from you

• Completed IT training EFZ or equivalent, further education HF or FH advantageous
• Several years of experience as a System Engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments
• Very good knowledge of Windows domain infrastructure, servers and Active Directory
• Solid experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and ADC
• Experience in identity and privileged access management (IAM and PAM)
• Experience with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)
• Experience with customer services
• Strong service orientation, high degree of independence and personal responsibility
• Willingness to undergo security clearance with criminal record check
• Very good German skills (native or business fluent), English advantageous
• Affinity for automation with PowerShell and configuration management advantageous
