The Social Department is a versatile municipal social service with 21 dedicated employees. It offers a wide range of support and advisory services in the following areas: assessment and mandate management in child and adult protection, economic social assistance (material and immaterial benefits), parental allowance, maintenance collection and advance payments, foster care, preparation of maintenance contracts, as well as management of the SVA branch office and the Ukraine specialist office.

Your tasks Do you want to take responsibility and support people in difficult life situations? In a committed team of six professional guardians, you will manage child and adult protection mandates. On behalf of the KESB (Family Court Aarau), you will assess risks to child welfare and the need for protection of adults. You can always rely on the support of the experienced team and various specialist offices.

Your requirements

• Completed education in social work (FH/HF) or an equivalent or comparable qualification or further training
• Experience in child and adult protection is an advantage
• Strong self- and social skills
• Independent, flexible and solution-oriented working style
• Confident and articulate oral and written communication skills
• Good IT skills (MS Office, KLIB)
• Resilience, reliability and enjoyment of teamwork
