The Model Group develops, produces and supplies innovative and high-quality display and packaging solutions made from solid and corrugated cardboard. The paper for this is produced in our own paper mills from recycled paper fibres – thus ensuring a sustainable paper cycle. The Model Group employs around 4,400 people at 15 European locations. Your tasks:

• You ensure supply security and optimise P&L results in the Paper business unit through effective procurement strategies along the S2C process
• You systematically identify saving potentials and consistently implement them according to the TCO approach, especially in the areas of repairs and maintenance as well as spare parts
• You monitor relevant procurement markets, specifically develop the supplier portfolio and actively manage collaboration with strategic partners
• You conduct demanding contract negotiations and successfully conclude framework and individual contracts
• You support group-wide bundling and standardisation projects and leverage synergies across locations
• You contribute your methodological and process expertise in cross-functional and international project teams

Your profile:

• Convincing and solution-oriented personality with strong negotiation skills, assertiveness and clear communication as well as experience in change management
• Appropriate education (purchasing specialist certificate or similar) and several years of practical experience in strategic purchasing in an industrial company, ideally in the paper industry
• Sound knowledge of contract law, project management and sustainability topics
• Technical understanding of industrial components, materials and manufacturing processes
• Proficient in MS-365, SAP-MM and enthusiastic about digital tools and AI solutions
• Fluent German and English skills for negotiation
