Laboratory Manager Geotechnics & Quality Management (80–100 %)

In this responsible key position, you will take on the technical and organisational management of our soil and geotechnical laboratory. You ensure the standard-compliant execution of our laboratory tests and actively contribute to the further development of our quality management as well as the accreditation process.

Your tasks

• You independently manage our soil and geotechnical laboratory both technically and organisationally.
• You carry out laboratory tests such as water content, grain size distribution, Proctor, Atterberg limits, bulk density, carbonate content and loss on ignition, etc., in accordance with standards and validate the results.
• You ensure proper sample preparation, documentation and standard-compliant testing procedures.
• You are responsible for the testing and laboratory equipment including maintenance, monitoring and calibration.
• You maintain the relevant work, testing and procedural instructions.
• You are responsible for quality management according to ISO 9001 and actively participate in the accreditation process according to ISO/IEC 17025.
• You accompany internal and external audits and further develop the laboratory technically and qualitatively.

Your profile:

• Technical or scientific education, ideally in geotechnics, geology, soil mechanics or materials testing.
• Several years of practical experience in a soil, geotechnical or materials testing laboratory.
• Confident and independent handling of relevant testing methods and standards as well as experience in validating results.
• Knowledge of quality management according to ISO 9001 and/or ISO/IEC 17025, ideally with audit or accreditation experience.
• Independent, structured and responsible working style with enthusiasm for leading and further developing a laboratory.
• Good German language skills in spoken and written form.
