Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
You want to not only keep networks running but make them progressively more secure? This is exactly where your role as Infrastructure Engineer comes in. With FortiGate, well-thought-out VLAN concepts, and zero-trust architectures, you create a robust foundation for the entire IT operation. At the same time, you further develop the server landscape and Microsoft 365 (M365). There is plenty of room for new ideas, as several innovation projects are already underway.
Responsibilities:
You take the lead in complex cases in 3rd-level support for infrastructure and security.
You design segmented networks with VLANs and micro-segmentation and consistently isolate critical zones.
Additionally, you operate the firewall, switching, and WLAN infrastructure, continuously securing and further developing it.
You keep an eye on firewall rules, VPN connections, policies, as well as IDS/IPS and close security gaps early.
You manage the cloud workplace, Active Directory, and Hyper-V servers and expand them as needed.
Furthermore, you drive initiatives such as network access control, SD-WAN, and the automation of network processes forward.
Qualifications:
You have completed basic IT training or have built your expertise through solid practical experience.
You are proficient in network and security technologies.
You are familiar with routing, switching, and VLAN design, for example with Cisco or devices from other manufacturers.
Furthermore, you configure FortiGate firewalls confidently, and an NSE certification rounds off your profile.
You apply your solid knowledge in Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365 purposefully.
Additionally, you think in security concepts such as defence in depth and least privilege, approach problems in a structured way, and enjoy trying out new things.
