High Court of the Canton of Zurich
For the Administrative Commission of the High Court, we are seeking a legally proficient individual starting 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.
Court Clerk / Judicial Administration (80-100%)
Your Area of Responsibility
- As Court Clerk (60-80%):
- Managing cases from submission to decision and drafting decision proposals for the High Court Presidency, the Administrative Commission, and the full court (in particular supervisory complaints, appeals concerning case law in judicial administrative matters, arbitration cases [appointment or rejection of arbitration members, enforceability certificates of arbitral awards]).
- Processing requests for access to files.
- Assisting in the revision of ordinances, regulations, and circulars.
- Supporting the Secretary-General and his two deputies in legal clarifications.
- Handling day-to-day business, including correspondence with legal applicants.
- Regarding Data Protection Law (20%)
- Advising court management and staff on data protection matters.
- Processing data protection-related information requests.
- Representing the court in conciliation proceedings according to nIDG ZH.
- Cooperating with specialist offices, especially with the Data Protection Officer of the Canton of Zurich.
- Reviewing and further developing compliance with data protection requirements, including examining business processes from a data protection perspective.
Your Profile
- Completed legal studies, bar admission advantageous.
- Experience as a court clerk, ideally at a Zurich court.
- Excellent legal knowledge, especially in data protection law, administrative law, and if possible, knowledge in the legislative service area.
- Confident German language skills and enjoyment in precise formulation.
- Independent, efficient working style and confident prioritisation of diverse tasks.
- Confident demeanour towards legal applicants and in court proceedings.
