Role:
An experienced individual with a solid background in international business is sought to lead the sales and foreign trade department. You will take responsibility for export, import, and sales back office areas, leading experienced professionals and further developing existing structures. In addition to personnel and organisational leadership, a particular focus is on the professional development of export and import processes. The role combines leadership, challenging foreign trade topics, and the opportunity to actively shape existing procedures.
Responsibilities:
You lead the sales and foreign trade department with the functions of export, import, and sales back office in terms of personnel, expertise, and organisation
You take professional responsibility for export and import processes as well as customs, origin, preference, and shipping topics
You support specialists with complex issues and demanding cases in international goods traffic
You ensure legally compliant and efficient export and import processes and continuously develop existing standards
You coordinate employees and ensure clear task distribution and shared objectives within the department
You further develop foreign trade and international sales processes together with relevant interfaces
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience in export, import, or international foreign trade with solid expertise in operational handling
Commercial basic training with further education in foreign trade, ideally as a foreign trade specialist with a federal certificate or comparable qualification
Very good knowledge of customs clearance, goods origin, preference law, as well as international shipping and export processes
Experience with more complex export and import cases and advising internal specialists
Good understanding of processes, interfaces, and the further development of structures in international business
Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
Structured, responsible, and communicative personality with enjoyment in collaborating within a social corporate environment
