Would you like to contribute to the safety of the diverse users of transport infrastructures through your work? The Cantonal Civil Engineering Office manages around 740 km of cantonal roads – and you ensure, through reliable inspection and enforcement of all safety-relevant requirements, that the cantonal roads are safe for everyone. You identify weaknesses through extensive data collection and analysis and develop improvement proposals based on this, supporting their implementation. For our Traffic Project Management department, we are looking for an independent individual who wants to apply their expertise in a varied field of tasks.Safety Officer Road Infrastructure (SIBE)
Your tasks
- Systematic safety assessment of the existing cantonal road network (RSI, EUM, BSM, NSM)
- Support and evaluation of planning (RIA, RSA)
- Collaboration and support of project managers, working groups, commissions and authorities on traffic safety issues
- Maintaining registers with safety-relevant content (pedestrian crossing, restraint system registers, etc.)
Your profile
- A completed university of applied sciences degree in spatial planning or transport, or a comparable qualification and further training in the field of traffic or road safety (ISSI)
- Several years of experience in planning and/or monitoring traffic safety
- Prudent, target group-appropriate handling of the diverse stakeholders
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Networked, analytical thinking and goal-oriented work to develop solutions
- Good expertise in standards and legislation
- Enjoyment in contributing your own expertise in exchange with project managers
