Your tasks

• Professional, personnel and organisational leadership of the KESB department (authority, investigation and legal service) as well as participation in the management
• Significant co-design and further development of the office as a member of the management
• Chairing chamber meetings and ensuring a lawful and uniform authority practice
• Independent management of proceedings within the framework of child and adult protection
• Development of employees and promotion of interdisciplinary cooperation
• Representation of the authority in consultation with the office management towards courts, municipalities, specialist offices and other partner organisations

Your profile

• University degree in law or social work
• Several years of relevant professional experience in child and adult protection, ideally as a member of an authority or in a comparable management position
• Proven leadership and management experience, preferably in leading interdisciplinary teams or committees, ideally complemented by leadership training
• Sound knowledge of child and adult protection law as well as the applicable procedural law
• Decisive, resilient and integrative personality with high social, self and reflection competence as well as confident appearance, strong communication skills and a pronounced sense of collaboration

The Office for Child and Adult Protection is tasked with ensuring the protection of children and adults in the Canton of Zug within the framework of the Swiss Civil Code. The focus is on the vulnerable person whose fundamental rights must be preserved. The aim is to help those affected with tailored, individual measures and to protect and promote their right to self-determination. Organisationally assigned to the office are, among others, the Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) and the Mandate Centre.
