Java Software Engineer (m/f/d)

The IT department at our partner consists of application development and system engineering. Around 30 dedicated employees work in both areas. The goal of the work is to provide high-quality services for the members, customers, and sister companies (national and international) of our partner. To meet this task in the future, the system landscape is continuously changed and adapted to the latest requirements. Additionally, a multi-year restructuring of the system architecture and the corresponding applications is underway.

Responsibilities:
You implement demanding software solutions with Java and use modern technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, and JPA to develop robust applications.
You accompany the entire software development process – from analysing business requirements through technical design to implementation and further development.
You review the feasibility of new requirements together with specialists and ensure seamless integration into existing applications and system landscapes.
You investigate complex technical challenges, develop sustainable solution approaches, and create comprehensible technical concepts and documentation.
You work in an agile development team, contribute your own ideas, and actively shape the architecture and quality of the software.
Qualifications:
You have completed a computer science degree at a university or university of applied sciences or have a comparable qualification.
You have at least five years of experience in object-oriented software development with Java.
You are proficient in common Java technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, and JPA and can use them specifically for complex applications.
You have experience with integration solutions such as Apache Camel, Red Hat Fuse, or Kafka as well as with relational databases like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
You are familiar with frontend technologies such as React, HTML, and CSS and communicate confidently in German, both spoken and written.
