About the job

The Goldau Nature and Animal Park delights around 450,000 visitors annually amidst an impressive rocky landscape and idyllic forests. On 42 hectares, around 100 European wild animal species live. Approximately 200 employees and numerous volunteers are passionately committed to nature and species conservation, education, and research. Together, they advance the sustainable goals of the scientifically managed animal park.

Intern in Environmental Education (100%)
Duration: 6 months – 1 December 2026 to 31 May 2027

What to expect with us
• Work as a ranger: You provide guests with information about the animals, lead school classes and adult groups through the park, and take on control tasks. Training for this takes place in the first four to six weeks
• Various information tasks: You create worksheets for school classes or informational material for teachers and assist with the daily operations of the Environmental Education department
• Administrative tasks

What you bring
• You are sociable, articulate, and have pleasant manners
• You enjoy interacting with strangers and take pleasure in imparting knowledge to others. You are open to criticism and eager to develop yourself
• You have a strong interest in nature and the native animal and plant world, as well as a high motivation to independently acquire knowledge in this area
• You have a strong sense of responsibility, are very reliable, and possess a healthy degree of independence
• Experience as a camp leader or in caring for children and youth groups is an advantage

What you can look forward to

• Working hours usually from 08:00 to 17:00, with an expectation of approximately one to two days of weekend work per month.
• Compensation depending on age and experience between CHF 1,100 and CHF 2,200 per month.
