Role:
Secure networks do not arise by themselves. As a Senior Network Engineer Security, you manage demanding security infrastructures in multi-vendor environments and ensure that firewall and VPN solutions run stably and performantly. You work technically in depth but always think from the customer’s perspective. You contribute your knowledge to projects and continuously develop existing security landscapes.
Responsibilities:
You operate and administer firewall and security solutions including site-to-site and remote access connections.
You analyse faults, conduct error analyses, and resolve problems in complex network environments.
Furthermore, you support security-relevant incidents and technical escalations.
You proactively support customers in the managed service environment, both remotely and on site.
Additionally, you provide technical advice for the further development of existing security architectures.
You also participate in presales and customer projects and help design new solution concepts.
Qualifications:
You have several years of professional experience in the network and security environment.
Solid practical knowledge of Fortinet, Check Point, and/or Palo Alto Networks distinguishes you, ideally complemented by corresponding vendor certifications.
You are familiar with the operation of managed security services; know-how in web security or secure web proxy is an advantage.
Experience with DNS management or load balancing technologies rounds off your profile.
Furthermore, you work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, preferably following ITIL processes.
You communicate fluently in German, explain complex matters clearly, and are willing to be on occasional call duty.
