The Health Services department is part of our Operations division and professionally supports insured persons and pension recipients in the area of occupational benefits.

As a Specialist in Disability Benefits BVG, you accompany our insured persons on topics related to incapacity for work and disability – with expertise, care, and empathy. You handle cases from A to Z and coordinate collaboration with internal and external partners. With your precise, efficient, and service-oriented way of working, you ensure smooth case processing and make an important contribution to high-quality support for our insured persons.

What to expect

• You look after your assigned insured group on topics related to incapacity for work and disability and are the first point of contact for their concerns
• You open benefit cases, assess them, and take over the administrative processing from A to Z
• You review IV preliminary decisions, raise objections if necessary, and process rulings
• You coordinate collaboration with Case Management, reinsurers, as well as IV, UV, MV, and daily sickness allowance insurers
• You set up disability benefits and handle disability pension payments
• You provide oral and written information to insured persons, employers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders
• You also work closely with the teams from contract administration, accounting, customer service, and sales to ensure smooth processing

What you bring

• You have a commercial basic education, ideally in the social insurance sector, and bring several years of professional experience in the occupational benefits or disability area
• You enjoy working independently, reliably, and in a structured manner
• You are open, helpful, and enjoy working in a team
• You communicate appropriately with insured persons and partners and respond to their concerns in a solution-oriented and appreciative manner
• You have confident German language skills in spoken and written form. Additional language skills in French, Italian, or English are advantageous due to our national orientation
