Case Manager within the Emergency Service Directorate
The Emergency Service Directorate is seeking a 50% case manager on a permanent contract. The start date is scheduled for 1 October 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Emergency Service ensures reception, triage, assessment, and management of medical, surgical, psychiatric, and medico-social emergencies for adult and child patients. As a reference hospital for the canton, it guarantees specialised care 24/7 and coordinates patient referral to the most appropriate facilities.
Mission
- You participate in the recruitment process of assistant doctors and senior consultants, from interview preparation to follow-up of hiring files
- You ensure the administrative follow-up of training pathways, availability and medical staff numbers, as well as management of IT access and databases
- You manage HR administrative measures related to staff changes (rate changes, transfers, promotions, departures, etc.)
- You update the scheduling of shifts in the dedicated digital tools
- You contribute to drafting and updating procedures and provide administrative support to the management team as needed.
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification
- You have a good knowledge of the HR environment, ideally acquired within a large hospital institution
- You are proficient with Windows office tools; knowledge of HR software is an asset
- You have an excellent level of French, both spoken and written; knowledge of English and/or German is an advantage
- You demonstrate excellent organisational skills, proactivity, flexibility, and can manage priorities
- You are recognised for your discretion, versatility, and ability to work both in a team and independently
- You appreciate dynamic environments, enjoy learning new IT tools, and wish to develop within a constantly evolving hospital institution.
