Role:

You think technically, act solution-oriented and bring projects to completion. Whether cloud migration, network modernisation or building new server platforms: you want to not only technically accompany demanding IT projects but actively shape and take responsibility for them. This role offers you the opportunity to combine your engineering expertise with project management, further develop modern infrastructures and implement technical solutions with sustainable added value.

Responsibilities:

• Management and implementation of complex infrastructure and cloud projects from the initial idea to production deployment

• Development of overall technical concepts for secure, scalable and high-performance IT platforms

• Planning and execution of cloud migrations as well as modernisation of existing server landscapes

• Building and further developing hybrid infrastructures with Microsoft Azure and local data centre environments

• Design and optimisation of network architectures, site connections and security components

• Technical analysis of existing system landscapes and development of future-proof solution approaches

• Coordination of implementation teams, technology partners and internal specialists

• Monitoring project progress, risks, dependencies and technical quality standards

• Introduction of automated deployment and configuration processes with modern engineering methods

• Further development of security concepts, access models and emergency strategies

• Evaluation of new technologies and assessment of their applicability in the corporate environment

• Ensuring a smooth transition of projects into operational IT operations

Qualifications:

• Solid experience as a system engineer, infrastructure engineer or cloud engineer

• Practical experience in planning and implementing technical IT projects

• Very good knowledge in at least two of the areas: servers, cloud and network

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, virtualisation and hybrid IT architectures

• Knowledge of network design, firewall technologies and secure system integration

• Understanding of IT security concepts, high availability and business continuity

• Experience in project coordination, technical conception or stakeholder management

• Knowledge of automation, PowerShell, Terraform or comparable technologies is an advantage

• Ability to communicate technical matters clearly and bring different stakeholders together
