Shop Detective

About the job

To strengthen the team, we are looking for your support. As a shop detective, you will be active in our branches in the cantons of Bern and Solothurn, ensuring the protection of our assets as well as the sense of security for our customers and employees. At the same time, you will assist us with all security matters - apply now!

What you will achieve

• You monitor the sales areas and actively prevent shoplifting in the economic region, mainly in the Bern, Bernese Oberland and Solothurn regions, as well as occasionally in the canton of Aargau
• You conduct personnel checks and issue bans from the premises
• You handle customer offences, verify identities, conduct interviews and file reports with the police
• You prepare theft reports, analyses and reportings, as well as secure and process evidence, such as video recordings
• You support the Operational Security department in daily business as well as with special topics

What you bring

• Education: Completed basic or further training
• Field: EFZ and further training as a shop detective or training in regulatory services
• Professional experience: Several years of experience in the security sector, ideally in regulatory services and/or as a shop detective
• You present yourself confidently, represent your concerns with the necessary assertiveness and find suitable solutions even in challenging situations
• You have experience in shoplifting detection and video surveillance
• You have an impeccable reputation
• You have good user knowledge of MS Office
• You know the relevant legal regulations
• German (C1)
