As UpLink evolves, robust data management and analytics are essential to guide strategy, measure impact, and strengthen engagement across our ecosystem. We are seeking a Data & Business Impact Specialist to develop, implement & maintain data science applications across impact measurement, stakeholder engagement and marketing.
Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Head of Technology & Operations collaborating closely with our three other sub-teams within UpLink: Growth, Partnerships & Innovation Ecosystems; Marketing & Communications; Engagement & Programming.
Main Responsibilities
Data Governance, Analytics & Business Intelligence (BI)

Contribute to and implement UpLink’s data and BI strategy, ensuring alignment across teams.

Manage and optimize data structures, integrations, collection and governance to ensure quality, accessibility, and security.

Build and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and visualization systems to deliver timely, actionable insights.

Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives to support presentations and stakeholder engagement.

Produce clear reports and presentations for internal planning and external stakeholders, including donors and partners.

Support and train colleagues on data best practices, reporting processes, and tool adoption.

Contribute to cross-functional data projects ensuring consistency and alignment.

Monitor trends and emerging methodologies in data analysis and impact measurement, proactively recommending improvements.

Pilot new technology tools and visualization methods to enhance decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
Example applications:
Ecosystem Impact & Reporting: Measure and report on key ecosystem KPIs, tracking commitments and outcomes to demonstrate UpLink’s overall impact.
Engagement & Ecosystem Insights: Use data to understand and strengthen engagement across innovators, investors, and partners, driving more effective ecosystem collaboration.
Marketing Data & Operations: Manage dashboards and analytics to link marketing performance with impact goals, ensuring insights guide strategic decisions.
Preferred Requirements and Skills

University degree in data science, statistics, economics, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting.

Strong proficiency with data visualization, BI and CRM tools (e.g., Tableau, Airtable, Salesforce)

Strong proficiency with data structures and architecture and their implementation in organizational environments, including relevant cloud platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Redshift, Databricks, Salesforce Data Cloud)

Proficiency with relevant programming languages for data science (e.g., SQL, Python)

Experience with marketing operations, digital platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Mixpanel, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks and engagement analytics.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
