Role:
Do you want to not only operate but also shape cloud architecture? Here, as a Senior Azure System Engineer, you are responsible for the technical foundation of a demanding Microsoft Azure platform. Your decisions determine how secure, scalable, and efficient the environment grows. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is your most important tool. At the same time, you are the first point of contact when things get technically challenging.
Responsibilities:
You develop Azure Landing Zones and define architectural principles for subscriptions, resource groups, and platform services.
Complex network architectures with VPN, DNS, private endpoints, virtual networks, and firewalling are your responsibility.
You design access and permission models with managed identities, app registrations, and Microsoft Entra ID.
Additionally, you automate the entire infrastructure with Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell.
In critical incidents, you lead the analysis across network, security, and compute layers.
You also design concepts for observability, high availability, and disaster recovery and further develop Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop.
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in engineering demanding Azure and Microsoft infrastructures form your foundation.
You know compute, storage, and security services in detail and implement governance concepts technically soundly.
Routing, peering, private DNS, and firewall designs are familiar territory for you.
Furthermore, you confidently automate with PowerShell and bring solid IaC experience with Bicep or Terraform.
You have already implemented backup and recovery strategies as well as monitoring with Log Analytics and Azure Monitor in practice.
You are also confident in hybrid environments with Windows Server and Microsoft 365 and make well-founded architectural decisions even with complex dependencies.
Benefits:
- Home office
- Experienced and dynamic team
- Interesting and varied tasks/projects
- Flat hierarchies
- Coaching and mentoring
- Flexible working hours
- Open corporate culture
- Comfortable office with modern infrastructure
- Above-average holidays and days off
- Participation in or provision of company car
