Your role and responsibilities
In this position, you carry out service assignments according to work instructions and in compliance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. You ensure first-class customer service daily by planning service orders and executing them according to customer requirements and expectations. Thanks to your clear and professional communication, you help ensure the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers by transparently conveying appointments, processes, and expectations.
Work model: field service
This position is part of the Electrification, Smart Power division in Baden. Your main contacts include customers, field service colleagues, and the internal service coordination team.
Your main tasks
- Collaborate with customers on site to identify optimisation potentials and solve existing challenges
- Carry out service assignments, identify technical problems, and analyse on site or remotely within the service categories and product areas for which you are certified
- Create material lists for service assignments and ensure that all required materials, spare parts, and tools are fully available and in perfect condition
- Conduct training for field service colleagues and customers as needed

Your qualifications
- Completed vocational training as an automation technician, electrical installer, electrical planner, or comparable technical qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in automation, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical environment; experience with UPS systems (uninterruptible power supply) is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of electromechanical systems, diagnostic tools, and service processes in an industrial environment
- Strong customer orientation, flexibility in dealing with changing requirements, and a solution-oriented and constructive working style within the team
- Very good German skills and basic English skills for professional communication with customers
- Willingness to travel, be on call, and occasionally work weekends; main area of operation: Mittelland / Bern region
- Valid driving licence for assignments within Switzerland
