Warehouse Supervisor
POSITION OBJECTIVES
Under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager, ensure the availability of raw materials and supplies to guarantee production continuity; defines warehouse management policies, plans, organises and coordinates the necessary resources, and establishes procedures for the receipt and storage of goods. Responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels. Acts to minimise inventory shortages and any damage to stored materials. Proposes improvements for warehouse management, also based on new technologies. Coordinates a team of collaborators and ensures their development.
SKILLS
Technical/Professional
• Knowledge and use of software (administrative management);
• Use of forms;
• Knowledge of the technical characteristics of warehouse items;
• Use of documentation related to orders, shipments (orders, delivery notes…) and accounting;
• Knowledge of space optimisation techniques;
• Knowledge of loading and unloading techniques (on trucks);
• Knowledge of material transfer techniques between departments;
• Ability to manage and organise deadlines;
• Ability to manage placed orders (type of product and quantity);
• Ability to forecast supplies;
• Control and verification of stock and incoming materials according to ISO procedures;
• Ability to coordinate with other production sectors;
• Ability to manage shipments and deliveries;

TASKS
• Records warehouse accounting;
• Defines weekly supply plans based on production scheduling, organising daily quantities and transport means, as well as receipt priorities;
• Monitors receipt of issued orders;
• Manages all warehouse staff activities, coordinating inbound and outbound flows, assigning personnel resources to receiving and shipping departments according to actual needs;
• Ensures that receiving and storage activities are carried out according to the planned schedule;
• Verifies compliance with the supply plan scheduling;
• Analyses movements, consumption, any errors and expenses;
• Maintains contacts with other company departments, purchasing, sales, administration and production, regarding contingent receipt and shipping issues;
• Maintains contacts with carriers regarding transport issues;
• Investigates causes of damage, breakages, inventory discrepancies, shortages, taking all actions to keep these phenomena under control;
• Suggests to the Logistics Manager the needs in terms of equipment and anything else required for operational improvement;
• Performs any other tasks specifically assigned by the Logistics Manager to better achieve the function's objectives;
• Manages relations with external personnel for all handling, porterage, pallet sorting, repair and cleaning activities;
• SAP Key User for the warehouse management module.

In case of confirmed violations of such safety regulations, the position holder is authorised to take appropriate disciplinary measures, including issuing a warning to the employee. These measures are necessary to ensure the safety of all workers and to maintain the integrity of the work environment.
