Your new role
In your role, you are responsible as part of a small team for collecting and delivering external and internal physical mail for the City Administration of St.Gallen. You carry out the mail routes according to predetermined route plans. Another main task is working at the information desk of the town hall, where you welcome guests, provide information, handle sales activities, and receive electronic requests for room reservations. Additionally, you will be deployed as a parliamentary usher and voting office usher at the meetings of the St.Gallen City Parliament as well as at referendums, which take place on Tuesday evenings or weekends. Together with your team colleagues, you complete these varied tasks and relieve each other in a half-day and weekly rotation.
This position is suitable for you if
- you have completed vocational training and have several years of professional experience in a comparable activity.
- you do not mind walking the mail routes outdoors between administrative buildings in all weather conditions.
- you are service-oriented and enjoy being in customer contact with various stakeholders.
- you like to work independently and responsibly and have good MS Office skills.
