Annual Intern / Childcare Specialist - After-School Care

The municipality of Widnau, with over 10,000 inhabitants, is the "youngest" municipality in the canton of St. Gallen and a lively economic and residential location in the Middle Rhine Valley. With our after-school care and lunch service, we offer high-quality, family-supporting childcare.

To complement our team, we are looking for a committed individual as an annual intern (100%) from 1 August 2027.

The internship offers you the ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in educational work with children and gain valuable initial experience in the social sector. At the same time, you have the chance to assess your personal suitability for training as a childcare specialist.

After successful completion of the annual internship, there is the possibility to start an apprenticeship. Persons with a completed initial education can complete the apprenticeship in a shortened period.

• Supporting the team in promoting children aged 4 to 12 years
• Assisting in daily care (early care, lunch service as well as afternoon and evening care)
• Co-designing and conducting activities
• Taking on simple administrative tasks
