Senior Digital Analytics Engineer
- 05 October 2026
- 80 – 100%
- Permanent position
- German (Intermediate), English (Fluent)
- Mägenwil
About the job
We are among the leading online shops in Switzerland in both B2C and B2B, a nearly unique combination in Europe. Since Roland Brack holds 100% of the shares, we determine our course independently, free from short-term shareholder interests and with the conviction that things can always be done better.Every click, search, and purchase in our shops generates data. From the shop and the app, they flow into the Data Layer, from there to Tealium and further, client- and server-side, to Adobe Analytics, Emarsys, our Recommendation Engine, the advertising platforms, and many other systems.
For this central interface, we are looking for you. You will take over our web and app tracking landscape, ensure it runs reliably, and together with our analytics team, bring the tracking data as data products onto our new Data Platform.
Senior Digital Analytics Engineer
What to expect
- The professional and technical responsibility for our tracking infrastructure: from the Data Layer in shop and app via Tealium to Adobe Analytics and the other systems that consume this data
- An honest starting point: grown complexity, real dependencies on advertising platforms and third-party systems, as well as a team that supports you in further development and does not just manage
- A guided onboarding by our external expert. You start with direct access to their knowledge instead of from scratch
- A strong analytics team with which you build the tracking data products on our Databricks platform and are supported by our Data Platform team. In daily work, you collaborate closely with our data analysts and marketing
- Real scope for design: You help shape how tracking quality is monitored with us, how data products from Adobe and Tealium are created, and how we further develop the lifecycle of our tools
What you bring
- You bring strong experience in web tracking: You understand how client- and server-side tag management systems work (ideally Tealium, alternatively Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch or Segment), how a clean Data Layer is built, and where the dirty realities of the web world lie (ITP, ad blockers, bots, etc.). Mobile app tracking does not scare you either
- You have deep knowledge of client- and server-side tracking for common ad platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok & Co.) and can directly find out in the browser which data goes where
- You are confident in JavaScript and have advanced SQL skills
- You understand data quality as your responsibility and not as a task to be done when there is time left. Tracking errors rarely become apparent by themselves and cannot be fixed retrospectively
- You have a "Serving the Analyst" mentality: You do not build for yourself but so that analysts and marketing teams can rely on the data
- You document cleanly and actively share your knowledge. This is a core requirement for this role, not a side issue
- You bring experience with Adobe Analytics from an implementation perspective (variables, processing rules, classifications)
- You know Python, Databricks or PySpark or are eager to learn. We will build the tracking data products on this stack in the future
- You use AI tools in your workflow and educate yourself proactively simply because you enjoy growing professionally
- You enjoy working with marketing, analysts and developers and explain complex tracking topics so that everyone understands what needs to be done
- You speak fluent English and understand German well. Fluent German is a plus
We probably do not fit well together if you:
- See tracking as a side task to be done when nothing else is pending
- Reluctantly switch between tool worlds, between tag management configuration, analytics suite and data platform
- Prefer frameworks like SAFe or projects that start with a requirements specification
- Are more frustrated than motivated by imperfect systems - spoiler: we are not there yet
- See documentation as a tedious duty to be done when there is time left
- Strictly separate work and good mood
