The Salvation Army Foundation Switzerland operates, under the umbrella of the children and youth institutions BS, Schlössli Basel and Kinderhaus Holee. Kinderhaus Holee ensures, in cooperation with parents, caregivers, school authorities and external contacts, the individual support and care of children who cannot remain with their family of origin due to challenging life circumstances. At Kinderhaus Holee, 26 children from birth to the end of primary school live, distributed across three mixed-gender residential groups.Furthermore, Kinderhaus Holee is commissioned by the Canton of Basel-Stadt, specialist office for emergency placements. The children are accompanied in their daily lives with a trauma-pedagogical and systemic solution-oriented approach, focusing on their resources, and are individually and participatively supported in their developmental tasks. The highest principle in care is the child’s welfare. Children need protection and security, but also a stimulating environment in which they can dare to take developmental steps.
Your tasks
- Support and care of children (approx. 5 - 14 years) in a residential group
- Collaboration in a motivated team
- Social pedagogical case and individual key worker duties
- Cooperation with external partners and internal specialists (psychologist, process facilitation, playgroup leadership, etc.)
- Cooperation with parents and authorities
- Collaboration with the internal night watch team
Your profile
- Social pedagogical training HF / FH
- Joy, commitment and initiative in supporting children
- Resilience and flexibility
- CAS practice trainer in social work desired
