About the job

• The position can also be filled as an assistant psychologist.
• As a member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you care for patients on the psychotherapy ward 50+.
• After thorough training, you take over the psychotherapeutic assessment, treatment, and counseling of patients and relatives in individual and group settings.
• In your varied daily work, you encounter the entire spectrum of psychiatric disorders and conduct individual and multi-person conversations.
• You coordinate treatments, plan therapies, and perform psychometric assessments.
• You participate in reports, case discussions, and training sessions and maintain close communication with other caregivers.
• With the support of our service-oriented secretariat, you complete case-related documentation, write reports, and record services in the hospital information system.

• You have successfully completed your psychology studies and already have experience in inpatient adult psychiatry.
• Your psychotherapy training is either completed or advanced and recognized.
• You hold the psychotherapy practice license of the canton of St.Gallen or are willing to obtain it before starting the position.
• You are interested in inpatient, interdisciplinary treatment and always orient yourself to the individual needs of patients and their relatives.
• You are willing to actively contribute your expertise, develop further, and help shape the future of psychiatry in St.Gallen.
• You bring initiative, responsibility, and very good German skills (mandatory C1).
