We are now looking for a highly motivated Organic Chemist/Chemical Biologist to expand our efforts in biomarker-driven surgical diagnostics and therapeutic monitoring. The start date is flexible.
We are now looking for a highly motivated Organic Chemist/Chemical Biologist to expand our efforts in biomarker-driven surgical diagnostics and therapeutic monitoring. The start date is flexible.
Your tasks
- Investigate the functional role and clinical relevance of diverse biomarkers in surgical complications and disease progression.
- Design and synthesize chemical compounds capable of selectively interacting with relevant biomarkers, enabling disease or complication detection.
- Develop and optimize reaction pathways between biomarkers and designed compounds to achieve sensitive, specific, and reliable biomarker sensing.
- Collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, clinicians to translate molecular sensing concepts into clinically viable solutions.
Your profile
- PhD (or equivalent experience) in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, or related field.
- Creative, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong expertise in small molecule design, synthesis, and characterization.
- Demonstrated experience in molecular recognition, bioorthogonal chemistry, or diagnostic probe development is highly desirable.
- Interest in translational medicine, interdisciplinary collaboration, and contributing to technologies with real clinical impact.
