Your area of responsibility

• Design and creation of software architecture as well as software design, documentation considering verifiability and validity as well as normative and customer-specific requirements and their traceability
• Development of requirements for embedded software for products in the field of safe automation
• Implementation of multi-channel firmware for safety sensors according to specification, software architecture and design
• Setup and commissioning of development models and prototypes
• Maintenance and expansion of existing embedded software regarding functionality, safety and availability
• Specification and execution of module, function and integration tests within the software
• Advancing the automation and standardisation of firmware build processes and testing (CI/CT)
• Participation in standardisation and modularisation

Our requirements

• Completed university of applied sciences or bachelor’s degree as software engineer or comparable education
• 2-3 years professional experience with embedded software
• Very good knowledge of the programming languages C, C++
• Knowledge of the modelling language UML as well as experience with common architecture and design patterns is an advantage
• Experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M, AVR, etc.)
• Experience with unit tests, integration tests, possibly test automation
• Experience with interface protocols, sensors, actuators is an advantage
• Secure coding & cybersecurity (IEC 62443, MISRA-C, CERT C) is an advantage
• Experience in IEC 61508, safety concepts is an advantage
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
