About the job
Your future is our future – as part of PackSys Global
PackSys Global is a Swiss company that is a world leader in technology for the production of innovative packaging solutions and operates as a business unit of the Brückner Group. With unmistakable "Swissness," we manufacture unique machines that set the highest standards worldwide. Working with us means contributing to a work environment where growth and responsibility are encouraged, innovation is a daily pursuit, and team spirit is a given – whether from our locations in Rüti, Burgdorf or Haldenstein in Switzerland or on site around the world.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- You develop, simulate and test the software for our complex machines – from drive and control technology to visualisation and interfaces to higher-level systems
- In our small, interdisciplinary team, you actively shape the further development of our machine software, directly influence the mechanical and electrical design, and develop customer-specific solutions from concept to documentation
- Good knowledge of PLC programming allows you to reliably implement and further develop demanding functions
- Independently and punctually providing the machine software – and partly the associated hardware – is part of your responsibilities, as is implementing customer-specific adaptations including complete documentation
- You are the technical contact person, handle service requests and support our assembly department, both internally and externally, during commissioning and complex conversions
Your profile
- You have successfully completed technical training and further education in electrical engineering, automation, systems engineering or mechatronics (HF/FH)
- Ideally, you bring experience in programming B&R systems
- You approach your tasks analytically, logically and goal-oriented
- You enjoy using your good English skills in everyday work
- You are happy to spend about 10% of your working time travelling abroad
Our offer to you
- Responsible and varied tasks in a small, dynamic team
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to occasionally work from home
- A modern workplace with cafeteria, sun terrace and nearby sports facilities
