The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. The organisation effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and local hospital service, regardless of where the services are requested. Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
The following position is aimed at candidates wishing to submit an unsolicited application. To complete our EOC Dermatology team, with main activities at the Bellinzona (OSG) and/or Mendrisio (OBV) sites, we are looking for a Chief Clinical Dermatologist.
Chief Clinical Dermatologist (from 50% to 100%)
Profile:
The person we are looking for has professional experience and autonomy, as well as motivation, initiative, and a spirit of collaboration.
They believe, as we do, in the importance of placing the patient and their family at the centre of all our attention.
Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in medicine and surgery; for doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition/registration by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and corresponding registration with MedReg before starting work is mandatory.
- Specialist title in Dermatology and Venereology obtained or in the process of being obtained (for doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and corresponding registration with MedReg before starting work is mandatory)
- Proven knowledge of the Italian language (minimum required level B2) with corresponding registration with MedReg before starting work. Good knowledge of another national language besides Italian (French, German) and possibly English is also desirable but not essential.
- Certificate of free practice in the Canton of Ticino obtained before starting work
- Clinical experience in Dermatology
- Experience in training young colleagues
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Interest in research and teaching
