Portrait of the School/Institution
At Oberburg School, 350 children and adolescents are taught in 17 classes: 3 kindergarten classes, 9 primary classes, and five classes of secondary level 1. There are three parallel classes with two year groups each: 1st/2nd grade; 3rd/4th grade; 5th/6th grade; 7th/8th grade. The two 9th grade classes are single-year classes.
The 3b model is used at secondary level 1: Real and secondary school students are together in the class, but in the main subjects they are taught separately according to level.
The regular teachers are supported by teachers for integrative support.
Oberburg School is an innovative school where traditions are maintained and new ideas are always welcome.
During the school year, we hold cross-level events with the whole school, such as relay races, meeting afternoons, and theme days. Additionally, for grades 5-9, there is an annual orienteering race, a winter sports camp, a game afternoon, and a sports morning.
A good community spirit forms the basis for teaching and learning at Oberburg School.
