The main IT department is the central competence and service center for IT for the administrations of the canton and municipalities, the schools, the cantonal police, the courts, and other customers from the public-law environment. It is responsible for operating the ICT infrastructure in the areas of PC/laptop workstations, network, servers, storage, security, unified communication, office automation, as well as specialist and e-government applications.
For the support and helpdesk area, we are looking for a
Computer Scientist – ICT Supporter 100%
immediately or by arrangement with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Installation and support of clients, peripheral devices, and mobile devices
- Second-level support and collaboration in the helpdesk
- Support, maintenance, and expansion of ICT systems
- Planning and execution of Windows client and Apple iPad rollouts
- Management of mobile devices (Apple School Manager, Filewave)
- Software deployment for Windows clients (MS Intune)
- Participation in projects for the introduction of new systems and applications
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist in system technology or business informatics or comparable qualification, ideally with experience in support and operations
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Windows Client, O365, AD)
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form
- Team player with enthusiasm for independent work in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to learn new things and tackle challenges flexibly
- Personable with a high customer and service orientation
- Driver's license type B
