The contribution you can make

• Maintain hand and small arms, infantry weapons, vehicle armaments including weapon stations (on armoured wheeled vehicles)
• Carry out periodic inspections and work on various weapon systems and accessories according to technical instructions
• Deploy as a specialist at the troop material returns (WEME) on site for technical inspections and repairs of weapons, weapon stations and weapon accessories
• Technically support troops and third parties during material handovers, initial equipment of recruit schools and at discharge of servicemen
• Perform inspections and repairs in the area of personal armament (loan weapons)

What makes you unique

• Completed apprenticeship with federal certificate as gunsmith, polymechanic, similar mechanical basic training or military training as armourer
• Driving licence category B, driving licences category C or C1E as well as SUVA-recognised forklift licence
• Conscientious, structured and precise way of working
• Customer- and solution-oriented service mindset
• Willingness to work flexibly at various locations and to work in a team

The Logistics Base of the Swiss Army (LBA) is there for the troops. It provides all logistical services for the Swiss Army and manages the material, systems and infrastructures of the Swiss Army with its around 3,500 employees and 12,000 militia members.
