For our Engineering department, we are looking for a Data Scientist Network Planning (m/f) 80-100% to start immediately or by arrangement.

As part of the ongoing digitalization and energy transition, you will contribute as a Data Scientist at ESB to transforming diverse data into innovation and optimization levers and actively shaping the intelligent distribution networks of tomorrow.

This is your job

• Design and optimization of data structures considering the respective data types and their usage
• Participation in the development and further advancement of the infrastructure for data management and processing, taking into account internal requirements as well as the context of network digitalization, in close collaboration with internal interfaces such as CDO, IT, and OT
• Development and optimization of tools for data management and analysis, including the use of artificial intelligence methods
• Design and execution of data analyses focusing on network planning (target network), network operation, as well as reporting and statistics in cooperation with internal partners
• Ensuring the availability, quality, and reliability of data and the derived results
• Comprehensive management of the data lifecycle from collection through processing and storage to archiving

This is what you bring

• Successfully completed university degree in engineering sciences, computer science, data science, or a comparable field
• Solid knowledge in structuring, analyzing, and visualizing large data sets as well as in applying data science methods
• Ideally, initial experience in the energy sector and a good understanding of technical and economic contexts
• Very good knowledge of programming languages for data analysis and visualization such as Python, R, Scala, or Power BI, as well as experience with databases
• High degree of independence, initiative, and pronounced analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
• Main language German or French with good knowledge of the other language
