Equality Office
Legal Secretary with a Focus on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment 70%
Are you looking for a challenge in the field of administration and politics with an employer whose topics are as diverse as life itself? Do you want to make a difference and contribute to promoting equality in society? Then you are exactly right with us!
The Equality Office of the Canton of Zurich has the legal mandate to ensure the implementation of the Equality Act in the areas of protection against discrimination, equal pay, and the reconciliation of work and private life. It is the first point of contact and competence centre for questions about equality in the Canton of Zurich.
To complement our team, we are looking for, from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, limited to two years,
a legal secretary (70%) with a focus on the prevention of sexual harassment.
You will convey legal and professional fundamentals for the prevention and intervention of sexual harassment in a target group-appropriate manner and support the sustainable anchoring of measures in the cantonal administration.
Your future tasks
- You plan and coordinate the administration-wide roll-out. Depending on experience and profile, you lead the overall project or defined sub-projects and are responsible for the respective milestones
- You further develop a target group-appropriate training and communication concept, design formats for different administrative levels, including train-the-trainer offers for multipliers, and create learning and working materials. You personally conduct selected formats
- You convey the legal and professional fundamentals in a manner appropriate to the audience, especially regarding the Equality Act, labour and public personnel law, as well as prevention and intervention in sexual harassment
- You transfer the standards, processes, and instruments developed in the pilot project to different administrative units and further develop them
- You qualify, advise, and support managers, HR professionals, and internal contact points in the introduction and anchoring of measures, working closely with the personnel office and other specialists
- You evaluate the implementation and develop the basis for monitoring and permanent anchoring
How you convince us
- You have a completed degree in law and several years of professional experience
- You bring experience in adult education as well as in designing target group-appropriate training and further education offers and can translate complex content understandably into training materials and practical aids. Experience with train-the-trainer approaches is an advantage
- You have sound knowledge of equality law as well as knowledge of labour or public personnel law. You are familiar with prevention and intervention in sexual harassment or will quickly familiarise yourself
- You communicate and moderate confidently at different hierarchical levels and develop practical solutions together with those involved
- You have experience in planning and coordinating demanding projects; experience in project or sub-project management is an advantage
- You work independently, structured, and reliably, appreciate teamwork, and are familiar with complex organisations; experience in administration is an advantage
How we convince you
- A meaningful and professionally demanding role with high societal and organisational relevance
- A clear mandate with versatile opportunities for design and impact
- A workplace in close proximity to Zurich main station
- Attractive employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines
- Collaboration in a small, interdisciplinary team and with key actors of the cantonal administration
