About the job

Almost 280 employees promote, support, care for and employ people with disabilities in their living, working and residential environments. We offer 148 residential places in various living arrangements as well as 175 workplaces in workshops and a service operation. In addition, 90 places are available in the day centre.

We are looking for an

INTERN IN SERVICE OPERATION 100% (M/F/D)

Internship duration: at least 6 months

The service operation is responsible, in compliance with internal and external regulations, for the maintenance and upkeep of the entire site, the building structure and the technical facilities at the Graswinkel location. The service operation employs 25 specialists with appropriate training. They care for 67 people with disabilities in the areas of housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, animal enclosure, garden, technical service, office/reception, caretaking, canteen, driving service/logistics, service and kitchen. The site comprises five residential and work buildings as well as outdoor areas and six vehicles used for passenger and goods transport.

What does your daily routine with us look like

• You support the group leaders in caring for a group of employees with disabilities in their professional daily life.
• You are involved in the individually tailored support of our employees as well as in the execution of our assignments.
• You take co-responsibility for the execution of work processes.

What you bring with you

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are open, curious and communicate appreciatively.
• You enjoy working in a team and take pleasure in working with people with disabilities.
• Reliability, commitment and willingness to learn characterise you.
• You have very good German language skills, both spoken and written.

With an orientation internship, we offer you a practical introduction to social or healthcare and enable you to gain valuable insights into professional everyday life. You will be accompanied and supported by an experienced, interdisciplinary team.

In our service operation, you have the opportunity to experience and actively help shape the pedagogical processes as well as the living and working everyday life of our employees. At the same time, you gain valuable experience in supporting people with disabilities in the workplace.
