Who are we?
The Justice of the Peace is the Authority for the Protection of Children and Adults. As such, it acts on request or ex officio. At the end of the investigation, a decision is made whether or not to establish a protection measure. The Justice of the Peace also has competences in inheritance matters, placements for assistance purposes, and in the area of bans.

Your missions
- Drafting decisions in French and German in civil matters, notably concerning the protection of children and adults
- Participation in meetings of the Authority for the Protection of Children and Adults and taking minutes of hearings
- Registry management: contacting the persons concerned and their relatives, partners of the Justice of the Peace, notably by providing legal support to professional and private curators and other services
- Providing information and advice to third parties
- Legal research
- Case follow-up and drafting administrative correspondence
Desired profile
- University degree in law (Bachelor or Master in law)
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in a registry
- Writing skills, excellent spelling, autonomy, stress resistance and team spirit
- Communication skills, organisational sense and ease in contacts
- Good IT skills
- Fluency in French or German, excellent oral and written knowledge of the other language
