Production-related networks do not tolerate failures. As an Industrial Network Engineer, you design network solutions for industrial clients from regulated environments and ensure their reliable operation. You operate between classic IT and automation technology. Technical project responsibility is part of everyday life, as is collaboration with specialist teams across national borders.
Responsibilities:
You conceive, design and implement network solutions for clients from the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors
You analyse professional and technical requirements and implement them in customer projects
You maintain and continuously optimise existing network infrastructures in the production environment
Furthermore, you take on technical project management and document according to regulatory requirements such as GxP
Additionally, you support the helpdesk in 2nd and 3rd level support
You also evaluate new technologies and develop new IT services from them
Qualifications:
You have completed training in computer science or automation, ideally complemented by advanced professional training
You are familiar with network products from Cisco and Fortinet, including management systems and integration into Active Directory or RADIUS
You have already network-integrated virtualisation platforms, storage, backup and monitoring solutions
You are familiar with automation and SCADA systems from various manufacturers as well as IP-based industrial networks
Furthermore, you score with manufacturer certifications in the network area or methodological knowledge such as ITIL and standards of industrial cybersecurity
You communicate confidently in German and manage well in English in the project environment
