Physician Care Monitoring

Monitoring of Health Care: You are responsible for monitoring the health care of the Basel city resident population. You develop scientific foundations for the further development of various care instruments. You have experience in evaluating scientific studies and possess in-depth knowledge in the use of statistical software (e.g. SAS) to adequately analyse data from medical and hospital statistics.

Controlling and Supervision: You support the division and especially the hospital care department with medical issues, are responsible for performance contract controlling as well as statistical evaluations, and process cost approval requests.

Projects and Innovations: You evaluate and collaborate on ongoing or new projects (e.g. outpatient before inpatient, hospital planning, integrated care), identify fields of action for further care research, and accompany the work of the Joint Health Region of the cantons BS and BL.

Networking: You maintain exchange with partner organisations within and outside the administration to ensure the expansion and further development of care monitoring. Key contacts include hospitals and research institutes.

Experience: In addition to the listed educational requirements, you preferably bring specific knowledge in the areas of medical controlling, outcome or care research, epidemiology and/or evidence-based medicine.

Personality: You enjoy working in a team, are assertive, and communicate fluently, factually and appropriately for the audience. You take pleasure in numbers, analyses and statistical evaluations as well as in independent, precise work.

Education: You have a completed degree in human sciences as well as several years of clinical experience in a Swiss hospital and/or in-depth knowledge in the field of medical coding.

Language: Your confident oral and written expression as well as your interest in political processes and administrative work complete your profile.
