At the Uster Education Centre location, there are three schools. A total of more than 2500 pupils, trainees and adults are taught at the cantonal school, the vocational school and the higher technical school.
For the library (biblio.) of the Education Centre, we are looking for an initiative, digitally savvy personality as a librarian (75%) by arrangement. The workload is somewhat higher during the school term, which can mainly be compensated during the school holidays. The position is based at the Cantonal School Uster.
Your tasks
- Collaboration in the ongoing library operations, including taking on pedagogical responsibility in the learning and recreational area of the biblio.
- Active collaboration and support of the management in projects and the further development of the offer
- Organisation and implementation of research training
- Advising pupils and teachers on research and information queries
Your profile
- Training or further education in the information and documentation field
- Professional experience in a library or media library, ideally in an educational environment
- Experience in imparting information literacy as well as didactic skills in classes and workshops
- Good IT user skills and experience with new information technologies
- Strong service and advisory skills, ability to work in a team and enjoyment of working with young people and adults
