Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Building Construction Industry & Plant Engineering (70-100%) for the overall management of technically demanding construction projects. You will accompany projects from planning through tendering and awarding to execution and completion and take on a central role in construction management. You will be responsible for coordinating the project participants as well as the technical and commercial project control focusing on costs, deadlines, and quality. The position combines building construction, industrial and plant engineering, and construction management in an interdisciplinary project environment.
Responsibilities:
Overall management of demanding building construction projects in industry and plant engineering
Management of projects from planning through realisation to completion
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, and project objectives
Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary planning and project teams
Organisation and execution of tendering, submissions, and awarding
Preparation and review of specifications, offer comparisons, and awarding proposals
Technical and commercial control of construction and contractor services
Coordination of architecture, structural engineering, building technology, and plant engineering interfaces
Monitoring of construction execution and conducting quality and performance controls
Management of claims, project changes, and cost forecasts
Consultation and coordination with clients, specialist planners, companies, and other project participants
Support during acceptances, defect management, commissioning, and project completion
Qualifications:
Completed studies in architecture at ETH, FH or university level
Several years of experience in planning and realising demanding building construction projects
Experience in industry, commercial or plant engineering is an advantage
Sound knowledge in construction management, tendering, awarding, and construction execution
Good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, construction processes, and contract fundamentals
Experience in technical and commercial project control
Very good German language skills spoken and written
