Geomatics Technician (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF95,000 - 115,000This Rocken partner is an owner-managed company with around 25 employees and conducts surveys for municipalities, cantons, and private individuals. The latest technical tools are used, precisely evaluated, and digitalised. For construction companies, you survey and plan entire neighbourhood developments and also develop solutions in the field of watercourse remediation.
Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a Geomatics Technician EFZ / Geomatics Technician with Federal Diploma for versatile tasks in surveying and geoinformation. You will work on projects in construction and engineering surveying, official surveying, and 3D data capture and accompany these from field surveys to digital evaluation. Modern measurement methods, GIS/CAD systems, and increasingly 3D and BIM-based methods are used. After appropriate training, there is the possibility to independently take over and lead your own surveying projects.
Responsibilities:
Conducting construction and engineering surveys for building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects
Independent execution of staking out, surveys, and control measurements
Processing and updating official surveying
Capturing, preparing, and quality assurance of geodata and survey data
Conducting and evaluating 3D surveys and point clouds
Use of modern measurement systems such as total station, GNSS, and 3D laser scanning
Creation and processing of situation, terrain, and inventory plans
Processing and evaluation of measurement data in GIS and CAD systems
Preparation of 3D models and digital terrain data for planning and construction
Support in integrating surveying data into BIM and digital planning processes
Coordination with clients, planners, site managers, and authorities
Gradual assumption of independent project management including responsibility for deadlines and quality
Qualifications:
Completed Swiss vocational training as a Geomatics Technician EFZ, ideally with further training as a Geomatics Technician with Federal Diploma
Professional experience and solid expertise in surveying and geodata processing
Knowledge of GIS and CAD systems, especially GeoMedia and/or AutoCAD Map 3D or Civil 3D
Experience with modern surveying instruments and digital measurement methods
Interest in 3D surveying, laser scanning, BIM, and new geomatics technologies
Good German language skills, spoken and written
Driving licence category B
