- Overall responsibility for defined product groups including development of product group strategies
- Conducting global market and competitor analyses as well as monitoring trends and prices
- Identifying international suppliers, conducting negotiations and building long-term partnerships
- Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance as well as active risk management
- Identifying savings potential with internal partners and conducting make-or-buy analyses
- Systematic use of key figures to reduce TCO and promote continuous improvement processes / best practice approaches
- Technical basic training with further education in business administration or SCM at FH/HF level
- Solid technical expertise in mechanics as well as a deep understanding of mechanical manufacturing and processing methods are mandatory for this role
- Several years of professional experience in strategic and international purchasing in an industrial company
- Good methodological knowledge in category management
- Excellent negotiation skills and intercultural competence with corresponding proven performance
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and procurement platforms is an advantage
