In this versatile and responsible role, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary project team on modernisation projects for our packaging systems. In addition to the technical handling of your own projects, you will take on the professional leadership and technical coordination of the software and hardware team in the area of modernisation. This makes a significant contribution to the sustainable success of Syntegon and our customers.

• You independently handle and support the technical side of modernisation projects in software and hardware.
• Furthermore, you develop optimal technical solutions for individual customer requirements. This includes concept creation, implementation, remote support during commissioning, and technical documentation.
• You programme controls and drive systems with Rockwell CLX, taking into account different software concepts and machine generations.
• In addition, you adapt electrical schematics in E3 and make necessary changes to HMI systems.
• You take on the professional leadership of electrical/software engineering in the area of modernisation and are the central contact person for technical questions, concepts, and standards.
• You also coordinate technical topics within the team, support task prioritisation, and ensure a consistent and high-quality implementation of our solutions.
• You accompany and support employees with complex technical issues and promote professional exchange within the team.
• Moreover, you work closely with colleagues from electrical, software and hardware engineering, project management, mechanical design, assembly, and commissioning.
• You represent the technical interests of electrical/software engineering in interdisciplinary coordination and support our field staff with technical questions from end customers.
• For demanding modernisation projects, you take on technical responsibility from conception to successful implementation.

• You have a completed degree in a technical field, for example in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or systems engineering.
• Furthermore, you bring several years of professional experience in special machine construction or a comparable industrial environment.
• You have sound knowledge of Rockwell Automation, especially CLX, as well as electrical CAD systems such as EPLAN or E3. Ideally, you have experience with HMI systems such as Zenon and Galileo. Knowledge of programming Siemens controls is an advantage.
• In addition, you have already taken on technical responsibility in projects, in supporting employees, or in the further development of standards.
• You possess strong technical decision-making skills and can communicate complex contexts appropriately and understandably to the target audience.
• Moreover, you work in a structured, independent, and performance-oriented manner. You take responsibility and actively contribute your own ideas.
• Your communication skills, your interconnected thinking, and your strong customer orientation distinguish you.
• You are a team player and know how to bring different specialist areas together purposefully.
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written, complete your profile.
