For our Civil Engineering department, we are looking for you as our new Security Guard / Head of Security (m/f/d) 80-100%. Your future place of employment will be in Opfikon. Your place of deployment is located between Zurich and Winterthur.
What you will do
- You ensure that employees are always protected from the risks of railway operations and railway power systems.
- As a security guard, you ensure that all persons on the construction site are warned in time of passing trains.
- You set up the safety device, carry it out and communicate directly with the responsible authorities – by phone or radio.
- You report special or unusual events in the work area to the responsible persons on the construction site.
Why you will succeed
- You have completed training as a security guard / head of security and have already gained experience in occupational safety.
- You have good German language skills, both spoken and written.
- You hold a category B driving licence (manual transmission passenger car) and have good vision and hearing.
- For this responsible role, you bring the willingness to work independently, reliably and in a team-oriented manner – as well as openness to shift work (early, day, night and weekend shifts).
- You have a high level of physical and mental resilience and always act with a strong safety awareness.
- You are comfortable using digital work tools such as iPad and iPhone, and you are motivated to continuously develop yourself and learn new applications.
