The acute ward T2 is run openly whenever possible and is aimed at patients in psychological crisis situations who require immediate help. We offer these people professional support and a protected environment. We provide assistance during the acute phase. This includes psychiatric emergency care with thorough diagnostics, appropriate treatment, and prompt assessment of the social situation. The goals of treatment are the rebuilding of everyday skills, the development of possible coping strategies, and the stabilisation of self-esteem.
Your tasks
- Supporting patients on their recovery journey through individual conversations and daily ward life
- Bringing the perspective of experience with mental illness and recovery into treatment-relevant areas
- Collaboration with the core team
- Conducting a peer-led group offering to support the personal recovery process of those affected
- Support and networking with aftercare services, e.g. self-help groups
- Participation in intervisions as well as in the peer and recovery specialist group
Your profile
- You bring a high level of professional and personal competence as an expert by experience and have ideally already worked as a peer in an inpatient setting
- You have completed peer training (EX-IN or PMS)
- You have an advanced understanding of your own recovery story and can speak about it in a nuanced way
- You can act as a translator and mediator for patients (e.g. answering questions about illnesses)
- You can approach other people with empathy and without prejudice
- You have strong teamwork skills
- You have the ability to work independently and in a self-organised manner
Our offer
In addition to an exciting area of work, we offer you a good introduction to the ward, a diverse range of further training opportunities, and attractive employment conditions in a modern clinic.
