The Justice Execution and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 women and men with diverse professional profiles. JuWe is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For the employees of JuWe, the successful social reintegration of individuals who have committed offenses and the prevention of recidivism is of particular importance.
The Measures Center Uitikon (MZU) is the socio-pedagogical and therapeutic competence center of JuWe for the execution of sentences and measures for juvenile and young adult offenders.
For our internal vocational school, we are looking for an engaged, innovative, and open personality as a teacher for the Open and Closed Department starting November 1, 2025, or by agreement.
The Measures Center Uitikon (MZU) is the socio-pedagogical and therapeutic competence center of JuWe for the execution of sentences and measures for juvenile and young adult offenders.
For our internal vocational school, we are looking for an engaged, innovative, and open personality as a teacher for the Open and Closed Department starting November 1, 2025, or by agreement.
This is your area of responsibility
- In this position, you will be responsible for the educational training and individual support of several young offenders
- You will plan and organize the lessons independently and proactively
- Through targeted educational guidance, you will promote the professional and social skills of the youth
- You will actively accompany the young offenders in the career choice process and support them in their professional orientation
- You will regularly assess the work of the youth
- To document the development process, you will write meaningful progress reports
- In addition, you will work closely with the school leader and actively contribute your professional skills and experience
What you bring
- A completed training as a secondary school teacher forms the basis of your professional qualification
- You have the teaching authorization for ABU or are willing to acquire this qualification in a timely manner
- Several years of professional experience as a teacher in a secondary school distinguishes you
- Your German language skills are stylistically confident and fluent – both spoken and written
- Proficient use of MS Office applications is a matter of course for you
- You are resilient and maintain an overview even in challenging situations
- Communication skills and social competence are among your personal strengths
